Not liking Pumpkin Spice Lattes is sexist.
According to Min Cheng’s piece in the Swarthmore College’s student newspaper, if you don’t like pumpkin spice lattes you are sexist.
Most white girls like pumpkin spice lattes. By transitive closure, saying you don’t like pumpkin spice lattes, means you don’t like what women think, and you’re sexist. “The PSL hate seems to me like a symptom of a larger problem: girls don’t get to have valid emotions,” Cheng’s piece stated.
Min Cheng’s piece went on to say that saying you don’t like pumpkin spice is like saying women’s opinions don’t matter, questioning masculinity, and that not liking leggings, Uggs, North Faces, Taylor Swift, Pinterest, Instagram, or Grey’s Anatomy, are all other forms of sexism. Some people might think this girl is just trying to explain away why her boyfriend dump her for wearing the same Uggs, listening to Taylor Swift all the time, and had a massive Pinterest wall of their wedding planned out. Plus, Grey’s Anatomy really does suck.
