With a gross domestic product of $377 billion, the UAE is a huge financial powerhouse that could bring a lot of tourism money to the American economy. Unfortunately, UAE travel plans might not include America in the near future.
This summer, the country issued a “special alert” for its citizens that warned them against going to the USA. The issue brought special attention to “ongoing or planned demonstrations and protests in cities around the United States.”
With Islam as the official state religion of the country, recent negativity towards Muslims in American news and politics could be the catalyst for this warning.
